My Blueberry Nights on DVD and blu-ray in June

3 June 2008

The English language debut of acclaimed Hong Kong director Wong Kai-Wai (Chunking Express, Fallen Angels, In the Mood for Love... you don't need me to tell you this, do you?) takes the audience on a dramatic journey from heartbreak to a new beginning.

After a rough break-up, Elizabeth (played by songstress Norah Jones in her screen debut) sets out on a journey across America, leaving behind a life of memories, a dream and a soulful new friend – a café owner (Jude Law) – all while in search of something to mend her broken heart. Also starring Rachel Weisz, Natalie Portman and David Straithairn with music by the legendary Ry Cooder.

My Blueberry Nights is to be released on UK DVD and blu-ray on 23rd June 2008 (the originally announced date was 16th June, which has been amended) from Optimum with the following special features on both:

  • Short documentary: 10,279 miles since Hong Kong: My Blueberry;
  • Cannes Press conference with Wong Kar Wai & Norah Jones (20 mins);
  • Character Study;
  • Trailer.

The DVD will retail at £17.99, the blu-ray at £24.99.
