That Mitchell and Webb Look, Series 2 in October

26 September 2008

Comedians David Mitchell and Robert Webb return to DVD in October with the release of That Mitchell and Webb Look, Series 2, the second serving of their distinctively daft BAFTA Award winning comedy sketch show.

As with the first series, this one is packed with stand-alone sketches featuring a host of brand new characters as well of plenty of old favourites, including the drunken, down-and-out detective Sir Digby Chicken Caesar and his equally inebriated sidekick Ginger, and the host and contestants of the maths quiz show everybody is talking about, Numberwang! There's even a trailer for the forthcoming blockbuster movie, The Numberwang Code ("The world is full of numbers... but are they good or evil?"), which is a bit like The Da Vinci Code but even more nonsensical (if you can believe that) and thankfully lacking the presence of Tom Hanks and the doe-eyed French girl from Amelie.

Also on hand to tickle you in the places you shouldn't be touched except by a medical professional are the world's dodgiest panda, a robot who can nearly smell the difference between cheese and petrol, a very smooth scarecrow, the pink jumpsuit-clad Helivets who come from the sky to save your pets, and the rather unfortunate Boy With An Arse For A Face, who you really shouldn't laugh at. But, hey, he's got an arse for a face so why not make the most out of a bad situation?

That Mitchell and Webb Look, Series 2 (cert. 15) will be released on UK DVD by Fremantle Home Entertainment on 20th October 2008 at the RRP of £19.99. Special Features include:

  • Interviews with David Mitchell, Robert Webb and producer Gareth Edwards;
  • a comprehensive behind the scenes look at the making of the series;
  • Outtakes
  • and more...
