Psych 9 on DVD in October

7 September 2010

Borrowing from a number of respected sources, including Nightwatch, Dark Water and The Eye, newcomer Andrew Shortell's psychological thriller with supernatural overtones has divided opinion on whether it simply sits unimaginativey on the shoulders of others or is a taut new new spin on familiar themes.

The film centres on a near-abandoned hospital that has been plagued by a spate of killings. Taking a night job at the hospital, Roslyn (Sara Foster) experiences a series of disturbing events connected to a string of local murders by a killer dubbed the NightHawk. She discovers a chilling therapy room belonging to a psychologist played by Cary Elwes. When a woman working in the hospital is brutally slain, Roslyn seeks help from a detective, (Michael Biehn). But he soon realises the key to the killings may lurk deep in Roslyn's own troubled mind.

Psych 9 will be released on UK DVD on 11th October as an ASDA exclusive 2010 by Universal indiVISION at the RRP of £12.99, with a wider release planned for 10th January 2011. No extras have been listed. You can watch the trailer below:
