2017 London Korean Film Festival programme announced
The details of this year's London Korean Film Festival have been announced, and includes categories for Women's Voices, Film Noir, LGBT and Indie titles, and runs from 26 October to 9 November.

Agatha Christie movie quartet on DVD, Blu-ray & EST in October

Studiocanal has announced the Blu-ray, DVD and EST release of four newly restored, star-studded classic film adaptations of the work of the world’s all-time best-selling author Agatha Christie. The brand new digital restorations (taken from 4k transfers) are the perfect way for fans of these classic mysteries to puzzle over “whodunit” in the highest quality yet and are released as part of the label's Vintage Classics collection on 23 October 2017.

From Ingrid Bergman, John Gielgud, Geraldine Chaplin, Tony Curtis, Edward Fox, Rock Hudson, Kim Novak, Elizabeth Taylor, Lauren Bacall, Jacqueline Bisset and Sean Connery to Anthony Perkins, Michael York and Vanessa Redgrave, the list of acting luminaries to have graced the cast lists of these films is testament to the high quality of these archetypal British mysteries that continue to intrigue and engage audiences today.

Special restoration premiere screenings of Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile will take place at the 2017 International Agatha Christie Festival:

Murder on the Orient Express – 7.30pm, Friday 15th September, Open Air cinema

Death on the Nile – 7.30pm, Saturday 16th September, Open Air cinema

Sidney Lumet’s elegant and star-studded adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express stars Albert Finney (Saturday Night and Sunday Morning, Skyfall) in his only incarnation as the Belgian sleuth Poirot (this despite Agatha Christie’s own endorsement of him as her personal favourite) alongside Ingrid Bergman (Casablanca, Notorious), who won both an Oscar and BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress and John Gielgud (Gandhi) who claimed the Best Supporting Actor BAFTA for his role.
